SyraCruz

Mark Cupelo has led a tailgate group known as “The Fine Mess” since 2005 and is known for making it to every home football game, it has become something massive with food spreads and upwards of 250 people for big games. With the emergence of NIL into the NCAA and some of the massive deals athletes were getting Mark and a couple of his friends wanted to jump into the frenzy making a deal of their own, but with a little bit of a different mindset. They set out to find a player who wasn’t a big name or the best on the field, after an interview process and fielding applications the group decided to sponsor offensive linemen Enrique Cruz and Chris Elmore. Impressed by their passion for the game and community they rebranded to the “SyraCruz Tailgate” and raised $15,000 through t-shirt and beer koozie sales as well as donations to the cause. The group has not stopped there, the tailgate continues to grow. T-shirt sales are spreading across the country and they are still drawing in huge crowds for the amazing food, fun times, and of course, support for an amazing cause.
